We are seeking a Senior Consultant/Project Lead to help lead our team working with a federal sector client to transform their siloed human resources (HR) capability by delivering enterprise solutions that enhance the HR lifecycle. The successful candidate must have: a strong background in project and program management; experience standardizing processes, data and integrated systems; a track record of taking ownership of challenges and delivering successful outcomes. If you enjoy leading a team and still being able to roll up your sleeves and work directly with a client, then this position could be a great fit for you! The worksite location for this position is in downtown Washington, DC with infrequent travel to our headquarters in Rockville, MD. Due to COVID-19, the position is temporarily a remote assignment.

Responsibilities

  • Mentoring, engaging, motivating, and leading an integrated project team
  • Providing support for strategic portfolio management
  • Ensuring that the project team maintains an “enterprise perspective” on HR IT initiatives and governance processes
  • Supporting the client through early problem detection, idea generation, developing creative solution, and advising on "best practices”.
  • Effectively managing the project to achieve on-time, quality deliverables the adhere to project budget constraints
  • Implementing strategic initiatives, making recommendations on organizational improvement strategies, and measuring and evaluating performance and results.

Experience and Skills

  • Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, Information Technology, Organizational Development, or related field.
  • 8+ years of experience with project and program management.
  • PMP certification required.
  • Experience managing a project team.
  • Experience with governance, business process improvement and change management.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-starter with ability to achieve quality results with little direction.
  • Strong customer service focus.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Extremely detail oriented with strong analytical skills
  • Excellent group facilitation skills
  • Able to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
  • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
  • History of ethical performance.
  • US citizenship and ability to obtain a Public Trust.
