We are seeking a Government Data Consultant to provide expert level consultation to client organizations to assist them in achieving measurable improvements in their organizational performance. In this role you will be involved in facilitating change management activities in support of a large scale data initiative. This is an excellent opportunity to be a part of a highly visible, complex data management program. Previous experience with a federal agency is highly desired. Due to COVID-19, the position is temporarily a remote assignment.

Responsibilities

Your role will initially include, but will not be limited to the following:

  • Provide expert level consultation to client organizations to assist them in achieving measurable improvements in their organizational performance.
  • Develop proposals, work plans, schedules, and implementation strategies.
  • Build effective, responsive relationships with assigned clients.
  • Contribute to thought leadership in one or more area of core business.
  • Support the development of intellectual capital, marketing materials and internal job aids.
  • Travel to client sites as necessary.

 

Experience and Skills

 

Position-Specific Experience (Must have 2 of the following 6 elements of experience)

  • Experience providing change management and/or program management office (PMO) guidance for DATA Act, FFATA, or other large government initiative (preferably involving large-scale data collection and/or reporting).
  • Experience providing technology-related guidance for DATA Act, FFATA or other large government initiative (preferably involving large-scale data collection and/or reporting).
  • Understanding of Federal financial systems and/or financial terminology (e.g., USSGL)
  • Government data management and analysis experience (developing data dictionaries, manipulating large datasets)
  • Experience converting complex, technical data-heavy documents/presentations into simplified layman’s versions
  • Understanding of unique issues pertaining to design and development of enterprise architecture and technology solutions for government clients.

Required Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree; prefer Master’s degree in field related to core service offerings
  • 2-5 years experience in several of the following areas:
    • Organizational Assessment and Improvement
    • Strategic Planning and Support
    • Business Process Improvement
    • Human Capital Strategy and Management
    • Workforce Planning
    • Leadership Support
    • Performance Management and Measurement
    • Enterprise Systems Implementation Support
    • Change Guidance
  • Experience in a rapid paced, time sensitive, high quality environment.

Technical Competencies

  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel), Tableau and MS Project with ability to understand and modify formulas in Excel
  • Excellent command of English language in speaking and writing
  • Proposal development
  • Management plan development
  • Presentation skills
