About the Role

In anticipation of a contract award, COE is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Systems Architect. As the Systems Architect, you will be responsible for assessing systems for ability to ensure efficiency, effectiveness, and cost savings for our clients. You will assess system design, user interface, configuration, operating environment, data capacity, functionality security, and network for a Federal Government client. You will be required to objectively analyze desired processes and outcomes and advise on the right combination of IT systems and components to achieve specific goals. You will assess SOP’s staff expertise, and ability to align with advanced technology requirements to achieve better organizational performance and ensure an effective client experience. This position is a hybrid role with primary focus on telework with occasional travel to local client site(s) within the Washington DC/Metro area. Some travel may be required.

Responsibilities

The responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Assess the effectiveness of systems design and architecture, security cost effectiveness, and other requirements identified in the paragraph above. This will include a large variety of technology systems, tools, platforms, and configurations (Cloud and on prem).
  • Perform technical research and development for the long-term system roadmap to achieve client needs and effective customer experiences.
  • Work as part of a team and make recommendations in tandem with other aspects of an organization’s effectiveness assessment.
  • Suggest and provide economically sound IT solutions to client as needed, remaining technology tool agnostic, unbiased, and non-conflicted.
  • Perform technical research and development for the long-term system roadmap to achieve client satisfaction.

Experience and Skills

  • Must have prior experience working on Federal Government systems. Candidates without Federal experience will not be considered.
  • Minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited university with eight+ (8+) years of related engineering experience.
  • Advanced industry certifications are highly desirable.
  • Experience with a wide variety of technologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to implement and document technology integration and migration strategies.
  • Familiar with and on top of the industry trend and new technologies for system architecture.
  • Strong attention to detail is required.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to perform with little direction and achieve quality results independently and within a team.
  • Strong customer care focus.
  • Ability to work under pressure, time, and other constraints.
  • Successfully presents technical information in layman’s terms while being clear and concise.
  • Works well as part of a team.
  • The ability to multi-task, prioritize commitments, and manage time effectively.
  • History of ethical performance.
  • US Citizenship is required.
