About the Role

In anticipation of contract award, COE is seeking a customer-focused Budget Analyst (BA) to provide expert consulting on the assessment of financial data in connection with organizational performance development to optimize client efficiency and effectiveness. This position is a hybrid role with primary focus on telework with occasional travel to local client site(s) within the Washington DC/Metro area. Some travel may be required.

Responsibilities

The candidate should apply with proven experience to execute the following:

  • Collecting and interpreting Federal financial data against the organization’s mission, structure, talent, and systems.
  • Collate, analyze, and interpret data to develop a snapshot of existing financial operations and ensure the efficacy of that data and its use.
  • Identifying budgetary inefficiencies or problem areas to be improved.
  • Estimating future financial needs and relocation based on the proposed organizational changes.
  • Preparing data, reports, analysis, and findings for client senior leaders.

Experience and Skills

  • Must have prior experience working on Federal Government financial projects. Candidates without Federal experience will not be considered.
  • 8+ Years of experience eliciting, gathering, documenting, and tracking financial requirements within the Federal confines and a bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Extremely detail oriented with strong analytical skills with the ability to quickly learn and assimilate new skills and methodologies.
  • Ability to present ideas in user-friendly language, document system processes and procedures in a clear manner.
  • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
  • The ability to multi-task, prioritize commitments, and manage time effectively.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required.
