About the Role

COE is seeking a Technical Editor to support all facets of data collection and editing of multiple reports for the evaluation of a Program Improvement project for the US Forest Service. This is a hybrid position, with occasional travel to local client site(s) within the Washington, DC/Metro area.

Re sp onsibilities

The candidate should apply with proven experience to execute the following:

  • Develop, draft, revise, and edit reports, articles, manuals, specifications, presentation materials, and other technical documents.
  • Use rough outlines and resource materials, and interpret information obtained through research or provided by technical specialists.
  • Apply knowledge of documentation content and format standards to prepare, edit and publish technical matter.

Experience and Skills

  • Must have prior experience working with the Federal Government. Candidates without Federal experience will not be considered.
  • Associate degree in English Composition/Technical Writing or two (2) years of experience equivalent.
  • History of ethical and value-based performance.
  • US citizenship is required.
  • Willing to work in a hybrid environment as described above.
