About the Role
In anticipation of a contract award, COE is seeking an experienced,
motivated UI/UX Digital Designer to provide consultation to our
federal client. This is primarily a remote work assignment, with
occasional travel to local client site(s) within the Washington
DC/Baltimore Metropolitan areas.
Responsibilities
This role will include, but will not be limited to the following:
- Conduct design activities aimed at bringing together user needs,
business needs, and technical capabilities to create a cohesive and
intuitive end user experience.
- Plan and facilitate human-centered design research activities
(e.g., usability testing, interviews, ideation sessions, workshops)
on user needs to inform product direction and validate design decisions.
- Create research plans detailing project goals and strategies for
engaging users.
- Synthesize and report research findings.
- Adapt design recommendations based on technology restraints,
feedback from users, and evolving product goals.
- Create new features and improve current features to expand the
functionality and enhance the visual appeal of website.
- Design wireframes, mockups, and prototypes.
- Create and maintain a Design System.
- Identify opportunities to improve the organization’s process and
culture around design.
